About  Department:

The Department of English established since the establishment of the college in the year 2022. In the same year English was introduced as the special subject. The Department aims to engage young minds in creative and analytical thinking through literary studies that can help students in building a holistic and healthier human community. To achieve this objective department gives space for students to discuss both local and global issues critically and creatively. The curricula are taught through discussion, assignments, text, reviews, power point presentation etc. Students are encouraged to express their views on the questions at issues in order to help them how to think and speak their hearts and minds. Timely various steps have been taken to develop the infrastructural facilities of the department. The department has Digital language.  Laboratory for developing communication skills of the students.

    The Department offers one certificate course of Spoken English. It also runs Bridge and Remedial Course for slow and advanced learner students.

     These courses are designed mainly to train students in professional communication. The department also holds regular interactive talks on issues of socio-cultural importance. At present there are two teachers in the department, who are actively engaged in various academic activities and consultancy, apart from the regular teaching activities.

Aims & Objectives of the Department:

• To provide in depth knowledge of language and literary concepts
• To familiarize with contemporary and recent trends and advances in language and literature
• To improve language competence
• To introduce students to some advanced areas of language study.
• To prepare students to go for detailed study and understanding of literature and language

Opportunities :

As global language &language of knowledge English has become the language of power this is an opportunity for the department to run interdisciplinary courses of English .

Challenges:

Due to students  growing preferences to competitive examination there is less number of students include to study English literature.

 At the sametime the growing number of students at compulsory level creats a challenges to manage the class physically &academically.

Future plan :

• To orgnize state and national level seminar
• To orgnize visit to English language liabrary  communication skill and practice
• To established shree bramhanand career academy.
• Improve into language liabrary as audio and video and pronounciation practicle.
